This page is work in progress, photos of my work will be uploaded soon.

Throwing is an integral part of my work and I continue to be inspired by the sensuousness, soft qualities of round forms. Medieval and Minoan pottery, traditional baskets and rural artefacts inform the idiosyncrasy of my pots. I use a slipware surface technique of mono-printing with traditional slipware glazes, their reflective qualities similar to glass, water and precious stones adding depth and fluidity.

Deeply rooted in a pottery tradition, the pots I create are a continuum of the craftsmanship imparted to me. Through observational drawing in nature and the agricultural landscape that surrounds me, I explore a notion of connection, and garner inspiration from the overlooked and underappreciated.
